These crocks are ideal for making vinegar and kombucha, a fermented beverage consumed worldwide for centuries.

Kombucha is an aerobic ferment, meaning it needs oxygen, so the lid is designed with slats to allow for air circulation in the crock. It also comes with an easy to attach cotton cloth which keeps fruit flies and dust out. The cloth attaches to the crock for a tight elastic seal and the lid goes on top to conceal the cloth. It is guaranteed to look great on your kitchen counter!

It comes with a top-of-the-line stainless steal spigot, which lets you sample your kombucha during fermentation, and maintain a convenient continuous brew.

Contrary to popular opinion, stainless steel is an excellent choice for a kombucha spigot, and is non-reactive. This spigot is made of 304-grade stainless steel, which provides excellent resistance to the acidic fermentation and will not interfere with your mother (SCOBY).

The interior is a basic white liner glaze, which is used for its high durability and stability. The crock is 100% food safe, and is hand-thrown on the potter's wheel in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
